What is the comission structure?

The Gallery takes a 10% fee for primary and 5% for secondary. We stronly believe in artist royalties, and artists get 10% from secondary sales on our platform.

How do I buy an artwork?

It's simple. Things are pretty self-explanitory. You'll need a Bitcoin wallet and some BTC. Click "Buy" or "Mint" to buy an artwork. After the transaction is cleared, the artwork will appear in your wallet.

How do I setup a wallet?

Here's a guide for you. We currently only support Xverse, Leather and Unisat. Ledger and OKX are coming soon though!

Why Block9 Sats? Actually what is a Sat?

A Sat is where your artwork is stored. Think of them as Bitcoin cents. Sats are short for Satoshis. There's are 100,000,000 satoshis to a Bitcoin. We choose to store your artwork on a Block 9 sat, because each artwork on our site is special, so we think it should be stored someone special too. And it makes for a better story. But you have the option to inscribe your purchase onto any type sat you like. Here's a great writeup about rare and uncommon sats

There are many kinds of blockchain and crypto art. Long-form generative is just one. We believe there is so much more to discover - short-form generative, AV art, blockchain art and more. We want to encourage artist creativity and are actively building tools and talking to artists as we push boudaries of what blockchain art can be.
